Well, if you've got 90 confidence, you'll get 1/2 of your games with 105 confidence. With Swagger, you'll get all your games with 96.75. Perhaps they'd rather have the flat always on bonus instead of the larger bonus half the time.

Booming Kick, Clutch, <favorite confidence booster>. In that order.
Laces Out is worthless until you've run out of BK, Clutch, all three confidence boosters, and soccer star. It'll trigger once a season IF you're lucky.
The confidence booster is really a toss-up. Add Hometown Hero, Swagger, and/or Heart of a Champion to taste.

Laces pretty much helped my team to the playoffs and championship final last season. have a lok at my team's S11 record and you'll see we've won many of our games in the 4th. valuable in leagues with level very closely matched teams. since kickers are situational players i've gone for an unconventional:
Laces
Big Heart
Clutch
i'm also thinking of maxing Overtime Killer
he's Gurd Muller.. the German goal machine. pure efficiency when everyone else is falling apart around him

Laces Out is too highly situational and a waste of VA points. You're better off with something thats in affect every time you kick.
