Is a swat ball and jumping AEQ worth it to a linebacker, Can a ballhawk Lineman build (so to say) be made to be a succesful PDer, has it been done before, or should I not even bother?

Most LB's go the Jackhammer/ KnockedLoose route. For a linebacker I would say no to the Swat Ball because there are better things out there for you no matter what type of LB you are trying to make. If you want to be a Coverage LB, I would say something SuperVision would be far better

I would use the swat ball piece until something better came along, assuming it ever did. Swat ball is not worthless and I'd rather have a lot of it coming from AEQ than SPs probably, unless I had a shutdown coverage or pass deflecting piece.

I think swat ball is worthwhile for an LOLB/ROLB but I wouldn't put AEQ into jumping. Just train it.

If you want PDs, I've had a lot of luck with the "long reach" VA. I had the LOLB on the team I formerly DC'd max it out, and get 90/50 speed/jumping, and he chalked up 46 in a season.
I just put 10 in it on my own LB last season, and his PDs jumped from 7 to 36.
In my opinion, though, PD's are 1/3 player, 2/3 DC.
