Since the team is CPU owned, the players can bolt for another human-owned team, just like in the D-Leagues.

Yeah I figured out once they go CPU that you are able to send the players contracts.
And yes, it was. His co-owner who was going to run most of the team lost access to GLB at work and had to bail out.
