60 cap, you shouldnt have to invest alot in tackling unless your front 7 is not doing there job well.

You should only be considering 68-cap if you and your DC have a concrete reason for it based on the specifics of your defense (e.g using the FS as a 4th linebacker and dropping the SS to deep middle); even then I question whether 68-cap would actually be better than 60-cap and using the spare points in wrap-up/diving tackle. For a regular cover 1/cover 2 FS, I agree that 60 should be enough.

Dang this is an old thread. I have a question on the safeties and tackling. On outside runs Our safeties save the game countless times. We are in the 20 - 28 level range. If that safety misses that outside tackle it's pretty much a TD for the other guys. Is 60 tackling with a good speed and agility enough for 95% tackling on those runs? Or as the levels get higher do more guys have the speed to help out on the outside stuff?

Though if you decide to start training it later on after your main atts cap out you can bring it up to 55-60 that way

IMO, 60 is overkill for a pass coverage FS. If your DC is using your FS as a run stopper, consider asking for a trade to a team with a better DC. FS's should be built to be able to take down WRs and the occasional speed back, not power backs. I'd rather have 50 in tackling and use the remainder to pump up vision and agility (speed should already be through the roof regardless). Yes, you'll give up a few TDs when power backs run you over (like they must have to the rest of the team in front of you to get to you in the first place), but you'll save more TD's in pass deflections and running down ball carriers.

FS should never have more then 50strength and 60tackling and should have 15 in DvG (this is a late goal though, don't compromise your build at lv28)

David vs Goliath has a 60 tackling prerequisite. Would be a great addition, but definitely would have to be a LATE goal...like a couple seasons before the player starts declining.

48 should be fine . . . and even then I wouldn't think about touching tackling for a FS until speed/agility/vision are at least 77/68/74.
