It is sad when a legend hangs up his cleats. Without Pierce Dravz the RRY's Third Coast Offense would never have existed. Neither would the legend of Jefferson Davis and River Rivers.

why aren't people at least waiting till their dot is 440 days old even if that means moving him to some capped team for lolstats or just leaving him a FA until they hit that mark. That way whenever bort does do coaching in a season or two, you'll be able to resurrect him for coaching. The policy will still be that the dot needs to be over 440 days old when retired i believe

Sort of a political marriage. Then again, one of the sadder aspects of dynastic politics has always been the marrying off of princesses to foreign rulers in order to cement a bond between two royal houses. As young girls they were sent abroad with a small entourage to a strange country, where people spoke a language they did not understand, ate funny tasting food, worshipped incomprehensible gods and where they generally disappeared among a host of wives.
