I feel so sorry for anyone who has to deal with a bunch of folks going to their own teams. We're really only looking to replace a couple people who'll be leaving now, and its still killing me.
Not having any of the fun stuff of the season just makes it worse.

Anyone having any good luck in the hunt?

No I'm not having any luck at all! I've probably pmd and sent offer to like 200 people trying to find decent guys to replace people leaving. All of them reject us and we are also trying to trade a level 9 RB and that feat seems just about impossible. On top of that my team is going through a little financial situation right now and all we would have to do to fix it is get that RB traded for some money. You wouldn't believe the people I've seem that have so much money and so little depth at RB that don't except a cash offer. Right now I'm looking to replace OT's, G's, SS's, CB's, WR's, and C's and no decent players at those positions want to come play for my team. By the way if any of you guys know anyone looking to go to another team we are looking for anyone level 10 and up to fill these positions.

I feel for ya. We have need to replace 3, possibly 4 players this off season. I am offering people far more than they are worth and they are still turning us down. I am selling them that we were a playoff team, we have a strong core coming back, but they would rather go to an expansion team and wallow in mediocrity I guess.

I'm sure some people wouldn't trust this, coming from a competitor and all, but I've endorsed some of the other guys in the division even when we were competing for guys. I have people come to me now and then when they see my offers on the boards and such who might be fine people, but just aren't what we're looking for. I'm also on a handful of teams where I get to see who is looking for new teams. If you guys let me know what you're looking for, and around what levels via PM, I can't go searching, but if someone comes my way that we can't use, I'll be happy to endorse some of the people who've made these boards and this division so interesting - because I know what a pain in the ass it is.

Reciprocity would be appreciated. Should anyone be up for it, I'll let you know via PM what we're looking for if you're ok with trading favors.

We are only having problems at LB the rest is pretty much taken care of. We had guys already on the team bring in more players of their own to fill a couple of spots.

the issue is with all the new teams that were just added that the higher level crew have vacated to join all the new teams leaving a playerbase of weaklings left to choose from. I suggest you guys find a level 8 or 9 guy who can boost for the upcoming season so he would at least be 11-12

Yeah, lower level people who are willing to boost can develop pretty quickly, and a decent build can make up for a lot if you have multiple spots to fill.

I was just WAITING for you to make this thread, Chase. You've been pretty bithy about it, but I know I'd be 10x more.

Well, I have to say we've been able to get a couple dudes to sign with us, but I also have some folks who want to leave for their "buddy's" team.

I say that a little tongue in cheek, as when I came onto GLB, I asked my team to trade me to my buddy's team too. Only difference is my buddy was able to make a fair trade for me.
These guys are just wanting me to cut them and let them go to another team. Well, if it wasn't pulling teeth to recruit new players, that wouldn't be such a big deal, but it is so I'm not too keen on just releasing a Lvl 9 WR and not getting anything in return.

The team I gm for in USA #A is working to bring in a good few players to boost a couple of positions (CB, WR, RB, TE, and LB). Myself(OC/GM) , the owner, and the DC/GM have been working for about 5+ days now to get 6 guys. I've managed to pull in a LB and am very close to working something out with a TE. So for 5 days, and about 20+ offers and 60+ pm's a grand total of 2 guys.

I've have a few guys that I've had to turn down from a few of those positions though, do to it either being filled or that they're just too low of a level (we're only taking 14+ guys).

Damn right I am. I hate the meat market.

Though you all got rid of the Manhattan Massacre I would like to inform everyone that DVSmith30 is here to stay. At least for another season. My level 15 QB signed today with the Salem Cyber Hawks and I will be helping them move up in the league. So just wanted to say hello again to all my old friends
