Obviously, this is subject to change as other teams may decide to hang it up or the conference champs decide not to promote to World League.
ALPHA CONFERENCE
With one exception, the Alpha playoffs were one defensive struggle after another, culminating in a rematch of an earlier game where the Graz Grizzlies and Belfast Commandos combined for 800 yards of total offense and 50 points. I predict Graz takes the rematch in the World League play-in game and earns Alpha's berth into the World League, but I digress. Ouch. Nice one, Belfast. I would like some bread with my crow, please.
Promoting to World League
Belfast Commandos
Hanging it up/Demoting
Camelot Kings
Frankfurt Sentinals
Paris Dream Bolts
Berlin Storm (don't really have a clue on this one)
Global Gym Purple Corbas (all signs point to yes)
Paris Philharmonic
With seven spots (and possibly more) up for grabs, the current contenders look like this:
AAA#1 Alpha
1. Boston Punks (Alpha Champs)
2. Parma Panthers (2 playoff victories, 14-2 season record)
3. Heidelberg Hitmen (1 playoff victory, 14-2 season record)
4. Plainview Bulldogs (1 playoff victory, 12-4 season record)
5. Mississinawa Valley Blackhawks (13-3 season record)
AAA#2 Alpha
1. London Underground (Alpha Champs)
2. Italian Stallions (2 playoff victories, 10-6 season record)
3. Baton Rouge Tigers (1 playoff victory, 15-1 season record)
4. Transylvania Bloodsuckers (1 playoff victory, 9-7 season record)
5. Weisbaden Huskies (14-2 season record)
Projected Alpha Conference - Season 12
1. Graz Grizzlies
2. Team Perkis (13-3)
3. FootballForum Fighting Danes (13-3)
4. E-City Mercenaries (12-4)
5. Naples Purple Nurples (9-7)
6. Dublin Druids (9-7)
7. Paris Penguins (8-8)
8. South Riding Stingrays (7-9)
9. Aviemore Angels (7-9)
10. Boston Punks
11. London Underground
12. Parma Panthers
13. Italian Stallions
14. Baton Rouge Tigers
15. Heidelberg Hitmen
16. World League Demotion
ZETA CONFERENCE
Unlike Alpha, the Zeta playoffs were mainly high-scoring. Korb and upstart Krakow, attempting to duplicate the Dublin Dragoons' run to the AAA#1 Zeta Championship from the 8th seed in Season 10, face off in the Zeta WL play-in game. I'll be cheering for Krakow, but expecting Korb to take it. Will Korb turn down WL again this season? Apparently not. Well...one out of two predictions isn't awful.
Promoting to World League
Korb Destroyers
Hanging it up/Demoting
Paris Musketeers (confirmed)
Antwerp Annihilators (confirmed)
Denmark Destruction
Glasgow Colored Trombones
The-Mainboard PIMPs
Berlin Ballers (rumored)
Inverness Highlanders (rumored)
With eight spots (and possibly more) coming available, the potential replacements shape up like this:
AAA#1 Zeta
1. Blackburn Carnage (Zeta Champs)
2. La Tourette Syndrome (2 playoff wins, 13-3 season record, 1372 PF, 212 PA)
3. Amsterdam Smokers (1 playoff win, 15-1 season record)
4. Hamburg Parrots (1 playoff win, 12-4 season record)
5. Roman Legion (13-3 season record)
AAA#2 Zeta
1. Iceland Berserkers (Zeta Champs)
2. Warsaw Wolves (2 playoff wins, 13-3 season record, 1561 PF, 216 PA)
3. Bath Killer Bees (1 playoff win, 13-3 season record, head-to-head over Biloxi)
4. Biloxi Voodoo (1 playoff win, 13-3 season record)
5. Vienna Blood Sausages (12-4 season record, head-to-head over Tranmere)
Projected Zeta Conference - Season 12
1. Krakow Knights
2. Normandy Invasion (14-2)
3. Porto People Eaters (12-4)
4. Sevilla Naranjas (11-5)
5. Manchester Devils (8-8)
6. Natural Born Killers (7-9)
7. Dublin Dragoons (7-9)
8. Stockholm Meatballs (5-11)
9. Blackburn Carnage
10. Iceland Berserkers
11. Warsaw Wolves
12. La Tourette Syndrome
13. Amsterdam Smokers
14. Bath Killer Bees
15. Biloxi Voodoo
16. World League Demotion
That's my early assessment, but it may shake out differently because there are multiple factors still at play (AAA#2 Conference Championship sims haven't run yet, other teams may start over or go CPU, etc.)...and I may have made a mistake (or more) with the tie-breakers.
Edit 1: Sorry, Biloxi, didn't mean to get your hopes up. I read one of the posts wrong.
Edit 2: Apologies to Bath and Baton Rouge. I forgot about the World League demotions.
Edit 3: Changed to reflect confirmation from the Paris Musketeers.
Edit 4: Conference championship games have simulated.
Edit 5: Global Gym is out. Baton Rouge is back in.
Edit 6: AAA#2 championship games have simulated.
Edit 7: Changed to reflect confirmation from the Antwerp Annihilators.
Edit 8: Changed to reflect announcement by the Paris Philharmonic and rumors about the Berlin Ballers and Inverness Highlanders.
