where would you put your EQ?

A) all in agility
B) 1 speed, 3 agility
C) 2 speed, 2 agility
D) 3 speed, 1 agility
E) all in speed

Here's how I do it....

74 natural speed...CE in speed...That gives it a nice even 80, then whatever it goes to through natural gains..

Then 74 + natural agility...All the other equipment in agility.

Get speed to 77 natural, then train it over to 78, will be 80 in no time. Do the same for agility, put all equip into agility.

so the feeling is that with high agility about 80 speed is what you need to get to the QB

Depends on the level of play, and the rushing style. To rush evasively around the OT at Pro or WL levels requires more than 80 speed. At level 40, it is generally enough.

My DE's at 78 speed, 106 agility at level 34 and all my sacks this season came from wins by more than 20 except one (I also got a ffum that game though.)

I do believe it's because of a lack of SAs, though I won't invest in them this early to correct it.

Yah...However to get to 74 speed....It only takes about to level 30..Or less....So between 30-50, it's going to raise 10 + points, giving 90 ormore, which IS enough.

To much agility for that level IMO, not quite enough speed...Or strength it sounds like.....I'm also a big believer in height and weight...So at 270 +, it's going to take more to get him moving...Compared to say mine, who is 254...And gets sacks even in losses with about the same attributes...Also looks like you added/added to much in tackling.

uhh - no

auto gains go down to .28 at 30 and .21 at 38. So between level 30-50 it will go up about 4.5 pts.

You sure ? My DE's speed went up 2, in the last 4-5 levels.

Guess I forgot to leave out the part of, I capped speed and agility first, and then strength...So I did it a little earlier then level 30 ...It's still a good way to go about it, however...You really only need about 90 speed in a DE.

1-21 - 0.5
22-29 - 0.38
30-37 - 0.28
38+ - 0.21

Still...If he's going for a pass rusher...Speed and Agility are first anyways....Capping it at 74 and letting natural gains do the rest, gives him what he'll need to continue being a good pass rusher.

+1 though, I never have the time to read all of Bort's posts on gains etc.
