Warrior General Games

This is a very simple power ranking I came up with yesterday. What I did was take the end of season rankings (1-32) in a number of stats, average the rankings and then add the number of losses. So, to see the raw averages, just subtract the number of regular season losses.

I think it shows just how important gameplanning can be since the Bulls and Toros split their games and the Goodfellas won the Championship. And I think it proves that Oklahoma has great coaching, while the Dream Team should have done better.

And if you average the average rankings for teams in each conference, the Western Conference (24.395) does rank slightly higher than the Eastern Conference (24.480).

when looking at it by just the numbers, it looks right on.

Looks solid. Wish there was a way to see how the rankings would change for, say, the last 8 games of the season. I would imagine they would look a little differently.

It actually looks just about right. Best power rankings I have seen. Nice Work. I hope you keep it up for next season.

it's pure numbers. a couple actually suprise me though, but not unexpected. arsenal had maybe the best all around game. toros slid a bit at the end but still ended up with the top defense along with the most offensive plays (noone grinds better). i thought honolulu would be 2 or 3 with their offense and all around game and thought oklahoma's defense would get them higher. losses are the equalizer though and toros/arsenal's ties were both a boost and burden.

Looks pretty good to me. I just hate that w ehave to play the Fighters, Toros, Outlaws and vikings again this season. Booo.

I don't know how valid it would be during the season, since stats rankings do fluctuate so much, but I may attempt this in season three, maybe starting around Week 4 or 5, just to see how it goes. As long as no one takes the rankings too seriously, it may give us one more thing to discuss.

It's fun to see, I would liketo see it mid season for discussion sake.

Shit happens I guess. The 3 games we lost was one that we tried to test our passing game to early into the season and it didn't work, that was vs the steel curtain. Another one was to the Lynx, we never set any tactics for that game. The tactics remained the same because we had conflicts with in the team. And the one vs purple eaters was because well they beat us. Even though we kind of dominated the game they beat us because we had toooooo many turnovers. Those 2 losses was in our slump though. We weren't focused and we we're a bit bored of the game but after those 2 losses we gained focus again. We lost to Vegas in the 2nd round because Vegas was a much, much better team. The only reason any team beat Vegas early in the season was because Vegas had no depth at all but they we're the best team in the eastern conference.
