Why is it that on all my teams the 2nd string back seems to get more carries and is way more effective?

Your team may be passing on your downs. Check your plays and you should still have more than the 2nd string. He may have more stats, but that happens sometimes.

Because you're the starter.

Maybe your playing against that teams second team, or you have more stamina + vision and can be more effective?
