With the new system for PeeWee in place, I just thought it'd be a good idea to get all the information on Promotions/Relegations in one place for PeeWee dotball (and for great justice). Since I don't know everything about it though, and some of what I'm posting may be incorrect, I'd appreciate those of you who do know what's going on to fill me in and correct me if I'm mistaken.

Disclaimer: I make no claim that everything here is correct, unless I hear it from a reputable source. Eventually, this will be very accurate, but I need your help to make it that way!

Gold League - 32 Teams
Relegations: At the end of the season, the 8 teams with the the worst performance will be relegated to Silver (as far as I know, they will be placed randomly).

Promotions: If you're here, you're among the elite. Only place you can go from here is down.

(AT LEAST) 8 down / 8 up between Gold and Silver

Silver Leagues - 256 Teams
Relegations: There are a lot of thoughts going on about how relegations in Silver will work, if there are any. Darkus has commented that there are no definitive plans yet. Other theories say:
- No Silver team will be demoted, unless they go CPU.
- Because at least a 1/4 of teams in Gold are demoted to Silver, there should be at least a 1/4 of teams moving from Silver demoted to Copper.

Promotions: The Champions from each of the 8 Silver Leagues will be promoted to Gold status at the end of the season. The 8 teams dropped from Gold will take their place (I assume).

(AT LEAST) 16 down / 16 up between Silver and Copper

Copper Leagues - 512 Teams
Relegations: None. This is where CPU teams reside and newly owned teams start their climb for the top.

Promotions: There is no definitive answer on movement from Copper to Silver. The 16 League Champions will be promoted, and the Conference Champions have a good chance of being promoted as well (so long as the teams are not CPU).

Notes:
- There is no definitive answer on movement between Silver and Copper. Stay tuned for more information. (thanks to TT for pointing this out)
- There is the possibility that NO teams will drop from Silver -> Copper. As long as a team is continuously owned, it will probably remain in Silver.
- There may be more movement than the 8/16 I mentioned. If a team goes CPU during the season, I assume they will automatically be dropped into Copper the following season. This will open up more slots in the respective Leagues.

My Personal Thoughts:
- By the numbers, the Gold Teams are very elite company. They represent 4% of the total teams playing PeeWee ball. Damn.
- There are too many teams in PeeWee

Please help, and maybe we can get this stickied for posterity.

I hope that more than one team from each conference can move up. Silver 7 has some of the best teams in Silver and yet only one can move up... that's unfair in my opinion.

Darkus has commented that he doesn't know for sure how the movement will take place beyond what happens between Gold and Silver.

I'd venture to say that with people selling gold (maybe) and silver teams, that the majority of copper teams that buy again for next season will find their way to silver.

I see 4 teams in Silver7 that could compete in Gold. I only see 1 for sure in silver 4 (Mud Dogs), but I'll admit that it is tough to evaluate the Muskies b/c they haven't played anybody good, so it may be 2. Agency, Cleveland, & Dunwich are all above average teams, but none are gold-worthy at all. In fact, I'd put money down that none of them would even have a home playoff game in silver7 west conference (I'd put Andromeda, Final Thought, Crib Midgets, EPG all above them).

However, I completely see the point of having just 1 from each league move up. Make the teams earn gold before they reach gold.

^ of this. I happen to agree with this. Not sure what's been up with Dyslexic, cause I had them up there with MMD. I KNOW The Agency wouldn't fare to well up in Gold at the moment, so when we're ready, we'll earn it. As far as movement between Gold/Silver, 1 team per league makes sense. +1

Hmm...interesting. I was looking at the numbers, and it DOES seem kinda ridiculous (at least between Silver and Copper) if only 16~32 teams moved.

Thanks for the input/discussion, keep it coming.

DTMCF was always a powerhouse, not sure why they aren't top three right now?

I've got no idea. They actually aren't even Top 5 at this point (???). Hope they were just sandbagging till now, and will unleash it all in the playoffs. Would be epic to see a MMD/DTMCF final.

I think that the bottom two in each conference in silver go down plus CPU teams. So that makes room for copper champions, copper conference champions, and a bunch of other teams.

If 8 teams drop down from Gold out of 32 -- and I agree that sounds about right -- that's 1/4th.

Why shouldn't the same standard be applied to Silver? Only 16 down is ridiculously low. Should be more like 64 down.

What Drops from Silver will be determined by other things besides team standings. Any team that goes cpu will automatically drop to copper. So theres no telling the true amount of open slots in Silver season to season.
