It really just isn't increasing my max speed by much... 26 vs 27 speed? Those 10 points could be in agility where it'd help acceleration, or strength/carrying where it'd help break more tackles and stop fumbles, so why is 90spd/70agi really considered so great for power backs with such a relatively small return for 10 entire points of equipment?

Keep in mind I'm only running up the middle. I can't imagine why one more max speed is worth it when I could be accelerating faster and breaking more tackles with agility.

Back when everyone dumped speed on their LBs I advocated agility, and now tons of people agree on the 1:1 ratio. Since power HBs run short distances up the middle I don't understand why the logic isn't the same for them as it is MLBs.

You accelerate faster when you have more speed.

to be fair, you could compare 90 vs 80 in any attribute and you wont a very big improvement

But you also do with agility, plus you cut better, plus you break more tackles.

I probably would get more speed from the better cuts and better acceleration, wouldn't I?

And why doesn't this seem to apply for LBs or CBs anymore in the GLB logic?

Even comparing 90 speed to 70 speed I don't see too huge a difference, at least in terms of actual yardage.

And sometimes it seems like I don't get good blocks when I get out there too fast.

It's why the most successful builds are those which fit into a team unit.

As for agility vs speed, I think you need a mixture. I don't think agility contributes all that much to break tackle %, but I know both speed and agility help avoid tackles.
