When creating a brand new power HB, should you keep Strength and Carrying about equal, or is one better than the other until later levels? Speed will be my 1st stat I focus on, but want to know which stat I should concentrate on after speed is capped, or bring them up equally?

Meh, strength is usually higher in power back builds, but if you're not super srs about it, I might try going with carrying higher. Maybe have a goal by level 32 of like
Strength 70
Carrying 80
Speed 61
Agility 48
Or something like that.

Early results of a build that went str first:

he's currently bringing his carrying on par with strength and is at 84/64

A guy who went all carry first and went overboard:

I don't know what he's at now, but he was at 40/95 last season with about 30 speed

with eq for str
and 66 spd/36 agl

speed has made a big difference this season now that guys can actually tackle him, I've just been training agility and he'll be at the first cap soon.

My original question was really never answered, so let me put it another way. During the 1st two seasons, would a Speed/Strength Power-HB be better, worse, or same as a Speed/Carrying Power-HB?

Doh, should have read the full post a little more closely. I'd start with str first, but I haven't seen a speed/carry yet. Give it a go and tell us how it works out. I didn't even start building up my powerback's speed till the end of his 2nd full season.

My HB started off training Strength/Carrying, then pumped Carrying to 70, then started training Speed/Agility while pumping Strength.

For his first two seasons he had probably 10-20 Speed/Agility, 10-20 Strength, but super high Carrying.

You can make your own judgments on how it went.

His level of competition wasn't great, but he has a lot of broken tackles. He was also a PR for two seasons.

I suggest take strength to 4th cap (if possible take it to 5th cap) on his first season as quickly as you can.
Then after doing it take carrying to 3rd cap as quickly as you can on his 2nd season.
So third season and on wards you work on his Speed/Agility.
With regards to EQ, either you putting all on Speed or Strength (I prefer Strength).

Right now I have a LV11 power back with 78 strength (raw is 64) and 30 carrying.
