Right now I'm only level 7 (will hit 2nd softcap at level 8) and I'm wondering how much longer I should put SPs in Speed before putting it in something else. This is gonna be a Shutdown CB.

pump it at least to the 68 cap. Go 74 if you feel like it.

This. If you go straight to 68, by the time you have agility and vision to at least 68 apiece, you'll have around 75 base speed, which should be plenty. If you take it to 73 first, you'll have around 80 base.

Alright so I'll go to 68 for sure than then decide from there whether or not to go one more.

Another question, is there any advanced equipment worth getting before the Superior Red Shirt +2 Speed +1 Wall SA at level 23? Nothing looks that good, unless I'm mistaken.

Apparently the last SA in the trees ie. SDC and CS don't begin to appear regularly until level 32. Take that for what it's worth.

Are those what I'm supposed to be looking for in the equipment? This is my first time playing the game so I don't really know.

SDC starts showing up around level 17. So does SV. Those are the two you should be looking for.

Ok, the way the SA tree works is the last skill costs double to raise than the rest so getting a piece of Shut Down Coverage or Closing Speed for example will save you a ton of SP and you definately want to get SDC high. Super Vision and Change Direction are also good and sought after pieces. In the mean time do NOT touch SAs until atleast level 30 when you will have a better understanding of the game. I'd even wait until level 40. I'd say +2 speed is fine for now until you go shopping again and find something better.

Good luck!

This is true but the higher level you shop the more likely you are to find an SA with a +3 attribute.

Which is still very unlikely, and the lower level you shop, the more likely it is you will find one with the SA on it.

I agree that it is insanely difficult to find a relevant SA with a +3 on it which is why I settled on a +1 Dline Gen piece for my NT after 3 seasons of shopping. But what do you mean the lower level you shop the more likely it is you will find one with the SA on it? I thought the better stuff was unlocked at the higher levels.

From what I've figured out from experience buying, logic, and Bort's little teasers, the AEQ system works sort of like a pyramid. You start at the bottom with a bunch of junk, with each level you raise, you go higher up the pyramid, unlocking the ability to get better stuff, but you can still roll the stuff lower in the pyramid. So if there is a certain piece you want, you need to find the lowest level where it is possible to get it, and try to roll it there. Since you are lower on the pyramid, there is less "other stuff" possible to roll.

The "Superior White Gloves +1 strength +1 Shutdown Coverage SA" start showing up at level 25, so is that when I should start looking?

Or is there one with +3 on it? The list I'm looking at doesn't show one with +3.

Except the pyramid is upside down.
