Not only for FB's but for TE's and OL as well??

I notice that my FB does not lead block all that well. Just curious as to what would help out.

Sometimes...you just really have to get your dot out in front!

My FB seems dumber this season... he makes some awful choices and hesitates, but he also can't seem to hold a block anymore. I'm guessing it's vision, or at least I hope so, because this whole new "can't hold a block for more than a split second" thing isn't looking promising for the future.

It's not vision... my OT has a 69 natural vision and he can't hold a block this season either (85 blocking, +18% hold block chance AEQ, 101 strength and 81 agility)... it's the new blocking code.

I finally got my vision up to a respectable level, not even softcapped yet, but finally up to a decent level of 35ish. Big difference. He now actually seeks out and finds people to block. My strength is up to the 5th softcap, speed to the 2nd, blocking and agility are softcapped, but until I finally got around to getting his vision up he was a lost puppy.

I'm going to continue training vision and use my SP's to get the blocking, speed, and agility up a little bit more, but for now I gotta say that with vision finally up he is actually a decent blocking FB.

PackMan97 showed what a fast FB looks like. Check John Henry Irons for another example.

Now here are some plays from a FB with pretty good vision:

Both have advantages

Shoulda been blown up in the back due to not blocking the LOLB, but can't complain with the results! speed is very important with the return of the elusive back dont get me wrong.
this is my FB that has been built to block and along the way while pumping blocking stats has become a weapon with the ball in his hands. a couple seasons ago it was pointless as the lead block pathing was jacked.....but has gotten much much better. You used to get away with very little vision so he would just blow through the first dot not blocked. now they chip the DL in pass pro and go and meet blitzing defenders if you have vision high enough to spot them (plus the spot blitz sa and blocking back va)

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=718870&pbp_id=13543767 - may not seem like a biggie but the vision helps him adjust from the SS to the CB that just pk'd the wr. that would spring the HB anywhere else on the field
