So the question is, whether spin or dive for yardage SA´s from advanced equipment are worth the tokens. I guess my QB is pocket passer, as he is at 77.8 throwing, 61.8 vision and 58.8 confidence (natural) @ level 27 some running capability could be added. The plans is to let throwing be from now on and get it up with equipment and 68 level for vision and confidence should be enough for him ( or is it, still not too late to desing the player...)

Anyway any comments whether Spin and/or dive4yrd would be usable adv.eq for my qb?

none of the above, these are for HBs.

So you think or know that these skills wont work while qb is carrying the ball? I remember reading form wiki that out of the position SA´s could be used, and for example diving4yardage would probably be ideal for QB sneak or any short distance running...

definition of "SPIN" : ---The Spin ability allows the player to spin out of the way of a tackler. This skill relies on agility to perform successfully. Additional Levels: Increases the chance of spinning successfully, and increases the bonus to avoiding tackles by spinning.---

SO this might even be considered useful getting away form sack if you read the desriction

definition "dive4yard" --The Dive for Yardage ability gives the ball carrier to stretch out and dive for that extra 1 or 2 yards while being tackled. This skill is very important for players who rush a lot. You will find you get that first down a little more often. Additional Levels: Increases the chance of being able to perform the skill.

So by reading the text this is not limited for HB and 1-2 yard dive would be nice on tight spot and on short down...

You said your QB is a pocket passer. I think is better to find eq for a QB and not for a HB when you're not a rushing QB.

Just thinking aloud, and respect your views Kenshinzen a lot.

So spin would not help against sacks, and thinking of 10 turn shoulder + 4-5 spin would mean almost as many sack as not having more than 5 on turn should (ie going for field general...)

Don't know, no one tried that. One of my QBs has a Turn Shoulder AEQ and Scrabler VA, still testing to see if is useful.

I wouldn't pick either for a pocket QB. Just too much other things that would be much better like Tight Spiral, Field General, +Pass Quality%, Etc...

If I had to pick between the two, I'd pick Spin. I haven't seen Dive For Yards do much for my backs at high levels, much less the lower ones that you would have. Spin would have more upside. I would assume that it works in the pocket, but I don't know that for certain.

I hate "Spin" with a passion, regardless of player position. As a veteran KR/PR man, I've experimented with having 4+ in it with 80+ agility. In my entire season, it didn't trigger once. As a veteran OC'er since season 2, I've also never seen my elusive backs trigger it either.

However, having said that, it's not broken either. It does in fact trigger, but you need a lot of luck. When it works, it sure is awesome looking:

Wow....I often wondered if it worked.....never seen it, however I have never OC'd for that high level of team.

My level 45 HB because of an adv. equip. piece has spin at 10 and VA's that give an additional 28% chance of juke/head/spin activating as well, and the SPIN kicked in many many times this past season.... so I know it works, and works well

If you don't have 90+ agility spin is useless.
