I'm going to make a DT soon and retire my

74 strength/ 92 speed / 104 agility / 60 vision 10-6-10-10-1 worthless DE

thats stuff is super gay.

I'm thinking I"ll try to go evenly into speed/strength/agility -> goal 100 in each

I'll make my first to 72 or 77 strength since then I can train speed/agility then I'll do agility next since it's another primary stat.

any thing I should be aware of?

For a DT.....If you want to be a pass rusher you really need to be about the same as a DE....80-85 strength, 80 speed, 110 + agility..Then vision, which BTW, that is a decent DE build, just needs a little more agility, I would actaully stick with him...But anyways....I'm building a DT myself...And by the end he'll look something like this

85 strength, 80 speed, 110 + agility..

19 shed block

15 heavyweight...

Only thing you should be aware of is 90 % of the DT's I see have like 60-70 tackling....Waste of points IMO, tackling should be the last thing you add to..Only thing necessary for a DT is SB...

If you're building a run stuffer..Mine would look like this..

110 strength
100 agility
48 speed
60 + vision.

19 SB
15 heavyweight.

19 shedblock sounds like a huge mistake

Not really...Between the CE, and hoping that I find 2 SB pieces...That's 9 in the end right there....Then since DT's really don't have any other good SA's..Taking it to 10 naturally..Or even less..But in finding 2 SB pieces, even if you add a point or 2 it's still 10 +....And not sure how..The more shed block for a DT who has to fight blocks off, the better...Coupled with enough speed and agility, strength, to help.

My understanding is that SAs above 15 don't do anything.

Edit:

My DT has 2 pieces of +shed block aEQ...I'd use both if they did something above 15.

Ok fine....15 , but still, I would get SB to the highest it can be.

it seems like you dont' know what you're talking about

Pssh, I know exactly what I'm talking about..Just wasn't aware that SA's did nothing after 15..I don't read all Bort's posts ..But doesn't mean I'm right in how to build a DT..You need high agility no matter what for a lineman.

actually, I looked around this sub forum and you give constant shitty advice to almost everyone.

If you want a DT that is pretty much even strength, agility, speed, then you want 2 pieces of FS AEQ. FS reduces the need for higher agility. You still want it at 95+ for the break block aspect, but it doesn't have to be 110.

If you are doing this

IMO

You want to get a big fatty. At least 320 lbs and 330+ is optimal with a high strength roll. 24 strength, 13 or 14 agility is good. (The highest total strength/agility I have been able to roll is 37). The weight means he can make tackles even without high tackling.

Create on day 33 so he won't decline until day 1 of his 13th season. (decline actually begins at day 448.)

train strength on normal and cap it a lvl 2.
continue training strength rolling it over 1 time and getting it trained up to 95+%.
Switch training to agility/speed.

Take strength up to the 74 cap and train it over.
Take agility up until it is = to strength.
Take speed up to 81.

Does he NEED 110 + ? No..But it's what I suggest to anyone who wants to get to the QB..Doesn't mean he needs to listen to me.

Not with FS.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=668241

he doesn't even have 95 agility and shed block is only at 6.

Definitely could be better. If he were 100/100/90/ 9 or 10 shed block and 8 FS at this point no telling how much better he could be.

Yea...He could be better and FS helps make up a little...But still, agility is a huge part is breaking a block/using shed block/heavyweight...Pretty much any of the best DT's on GLB are high agility guys...Need Ur Love, etc.

I want my DT to be fun to watch. SO basically, I want him breaking into the backfield and stuff.

do you think your suggestion/my build plan will work out like this? I don't want another toon that's built great and ends up like Klarg Williams.
