I am a new owner and trying to figure out which running plays work best against certain types of defenses. For example...

I would think it is easier to run inside with a power back against a 3-4 than it is against a 4-3 because of fewer DL plugging the holes at the line and many LB's opting for speed/agility rather than strength and tackling? True/False?

I would think it's easier to run outside against a 4-3 with a speed back due to the DL being slow and fewer speedy LB's to catch the HB. True/False?

Any comments, suggestions, or even random thoughts on this issue would be very welcomed!

It typically is easier to run inside against a 3-4. As far as the 4-3 it depends on what they are doing with their LBs and D-backs as to whether running outside often is a good option.
