Good question. Or at least, I don't know if I should be settling for a straight +calm nerves to go with my straight +big boot, cause I have no idea how rare these pieces are paired with useful punter stats.

Should I be holding out for better AEQ?

I don't recommend these for a punter.

My Level 45 has + 7 Punting + 4 Big Boot and + 6 punting + 4 Big Boot

If you can, get 1 Calm Nerves piece and 1 Big Boot piece

You can get them both to 4 naturally, then let EQ bump them both up to 10.

Could you please explain? To 4 naturally?, let equip bump them to 10?

natural 4 means you spend SP to get the SA to 4 "naturally" (i.e. base level without equipment)

Equipment bumping to 10 means AE gets you a +5, CE gets you a +1, thereby giving you 10 total.

Get them to 4 without equipment on, and then the +5 from level 56 AEQ and +1 from CE gets them to 10.

I still kinda think they're worth getting higher than a natural 4 around level 56 when there's not too much left to get.

Don't waste anything but EQ on SA. SP & FP is where you build your MA. Spending on SA until you're lvl30 or 40 actually hurts your growth!
How do I recocile this? My players are all under 20, does that help my guys for now?
Got a sneaky fealing that you're talking about higher level players!

It's good for you both now and later to not touch SAs yet. SAs are only really useful when you have the stats to make their bonuses count. Are you boosting? If you're never going to boost then don't build for high levels like people here are saying, but still wait until level 25-30+ to put anything in SAs.

Your best way to get a good punter now is still to pump punting and confidence up high. Since it looks like you're not pumping punting anymore then keep going with confidence, though if you're boosting and really building for elite status at 40+ then you might want to put even more into punting until it costs 6 or 7 per point.

Most people give advice for boosters and late bloomer slowbuilds. I have lots of non-boosters and you definitely don't build the same way that people here will tell you if you don't boost. You'll be declining by your early 40s without boosts but going from level 30 to there will be about half your existence, so you still need to develop for effectiveness later to stay competitive then.

But punters are one of the builds where building for later means building for now at the same time, so don't worry about SAs yet.
