Are there any authorities on this topic? I have designed a very strong "head case" build designed to disrupt and syke out opposing QBs. Is this a worthy endeavor?

I don't recall. It was a BBB. At the time he was just a speed LB.

seems like your team's lost every game so far this season, so I guess it's not helping out that much?

Don't know if I'd attribute it to that.

Deathblade tried one a number of seasons ago. He had a ton of confidence and something like 14 points in "The Glare" but it didn't work out well. He was retired due to ineffectiveness.

He has done a lot of experimental confidence builds and gave me advice on the one I am trying out

maybe if you intended to finish the build this way, just go basic cappings to the 3 on speed, strength, and 2 on agility and tackling, while you do this you can train vision and confidence and then eventually invest in confidence with sp and then your imtidation SA.

With a stamina as low as his it really doesn't matter - he won't be on the field that much. At least he will have confidence though from the bench.

I think you simply sacrifice too much bringing confidence that high. Why not be satisfied with 68? I think you could call that a confidence based build when compared with the rest of the community, most of whom have 48, IF that ...

Look at each QBs average game compared to when you played him.

Fresno Flames - L 87-9 - Dumal Ovich - 80% completion - 2 TDs - 0 Int
Season Average - 77% completion - 11 TDs - 0 Int

Phoenix - L 24-7 - Peters - 1 TD - 0 Int
Season Average - 65% - 4 TDs - 0 Int

Next guy 77% against your team, 73% season average.

This isn't a great pattern....

Another way to do some research is PM the OC of each team after you play them and ask how the QBs morale looked after your game compared to previous games. Explain what you're doing and offer to share the results of your findings and they'll most likely work with you.

You've taken it this far, you might as well do a little more research and become the authority yourself.

It's pretty easy to spot the LB's used in his experiment. He is probably coming to an end with it since he retired two of them and the others have their builds open. I never saw his MLB's build but from the other builds I think he did it all wrong. Another LB named Jetpack Hero did a test with the confidence lowering skills. I still haven't seen it done properly though.

Everyone that does this experiment always puts points into SA's too early... All I really play for is end game/Pro Leagues. If you wanna see if a build is viable or not you have to put it in the pro leagues, and the best builds have a good set of base attributes hence you shouldn't even touch a SA until that is achieved. My ideal builds for this test would be....

LoLB: 68 Speed/Agility/Vision 61 Confidence/Tackling SA's: Snarl/Aura of Intimidation/Monster Hit. VA's: Intimidation/Show Boat/Helmet Crash.

MLB: 61 Strength/Vision/confidence 68 Speed/Agility SA's: Snarl/Aura of Intimidation/Monster Hit VA's:Intimidation/Helmet Crash (Probably the toughest to build)

RoLB: 68 Speed/Agility 61 Vision/Confidence/Str, SA's:Trash Talk/The Glare/Monster Hit VA's: Intimidation/Helmet Crash

I think this would really cause a lot of fumbles/interceptions with Aura of Intimidation being the most important skill that builds are lacking when made in this mold.

Of course I really think the only way to find out if morale crushing works or not is to build a whole defense like this from scratch. If CB's Maxed Showboat. FS/SS maxed Helmet Crash. LB's of course intimidation/helmet crash. DT's Helmet Crash/Intimidation, DE's Helmet crash and made a strength based team. I think you would have one badass defense.

Of course the world of GLB will probably never know what it's like cause I haven't heard of a single soul using this concept and i've been looking to build a player for a team like this for the past two seasons. Only got one reply from a guy looking to turn one of my old players into a morale crushing player.
