Hypothetical situation. Lets say that that your stats (including VA's but not including any equipment) are:

-99 throwing
-78 strength
-85 vision

What is the best way to allocate 38 points of equipment?

Would it be putting it all into throwing for a 137 throwing rating?

Would it be like 18 into throwing, 14 into strength and 6 into vision (giving 117 throwing, 92 strength, 91 vision)?

Would it be an even split betwen throwing and vision for 116 throwing and 104 vision?

Personally I think all into throwing sounds nasty, but it is perhaps overkill. Having super high throwing with 90+ strength/vision sounds very nice as well of course. Hopefully this thread brings about some discussion on things like...

---How much vision is enough? How much is unnecessary/too much?

---How much throwing is enough? How much is overkill?

---What is the optimal amount of strength to have a great deep passer?

I'd say 8 into Strength, 8 into vision, and 22 into throwing personally.
I believe over 90 vision is good, because you can only have so much, it's not good to have so much vision that you can see the throw but not make it. To put a number on it, no more than 100 or 105.
I believe over 125 Throwing is overkill, but 120 would be pretty awesome.
I believe 85 Strength would be sufficient, one of my old QB's threw a good deep ball with 73 a couple seasons ago. Although not in the pro leagues or anything.

Just my thoughts

Over 100 throwing is overkill with TS and pass quality AEQ.

1 throwing, 15 vision, 22 strength.

I haven't seen a purpose to have over 100 throwing, so having 100 vision and 100 strength to go with it would be sick to go with it.

I agree with this guy...That is what I would go too. Throwing over 100 = works for me.
