I know it is very early (since we just finished Week 1) but I have to do it now, so lets get underway:

Northwest Arkansas Naturals (0-1) vs Washington Slashers (0-1)

Both teams lost in Week 1, but it was 2 different stories! While NAN can feel excited for their future, giving the Hounds a very honourable fight, the Slashers are still wondering how their pass D got killed by Red Rackham and Spokane! It will be a close one this time, but I don’t see the Slashers going 0-2!

San Francisco Demons (0-1) vs Washington Bullets (0-1)

2 other teams that lost on Week 1, San Francisco couldn’t do anything good in the 4th quarter against Timpanogos while the Bullets gave a valiant fight in the Hazy Bowl against the Wolfpack! I smell a good game from the Bullets offense in this one!

Naked Mole-Rats (0-1) vs New Brunswick Scarlet Knights (1-0)

2 AAA2 rivals are facing up in this matchup, Naked lost a close one to San Diego while New Brunswick got the upper hand on Dread City! But both squads were not impressive and if they want to be considered in the playoff hunt, they must win this game! I am going with Naked, but it will be a close one

New Jersey Blaze (1-0) vs Detroit Demon Lions (0-0-1)

While New Jersey took care of the newcomers from Portland, DDL should have lost their game if it were not from some AI OT problems from Carson City! I see the Blaze winning this one by a good margin!

Chocolate City Cha Chings (1-0) vs Indianapolis Gurupies (1-0)

While CCCC took care of the gutted WSI, the Gurupies were impressive against Chicago, which gives me a question: Is CCCC ready for the real season? Will they be prepared for a very balanced Gurupies offense? I think so, but they will lose it in a close one!

Key West Corsairs (0-1) vs Columbus Woodys (0-1)

Both teams had rough losses in Week 1, Key West receiving a lesson from the Marauders while the Woodys lost a tough one against the Battalion! This one is tough to predict since Columbus is not Minnesota-like and Key West showed nothing in their 1st game! I will go with Key West winning a close one!

2 teams that lost tough games are facing off in a game that can be called the “Eastern Conference GOTW”! OFG let the Lincoln passing game kill them for the first 3 quarters while Alpine lost a nail-bitter to Northwest that went to OT! Can OFG come back from a shaky start? Can Alpine get their confidence back after the tough loss? Knowing both squads, it will be a freaking good game, I see OFG getting back on track though!

If the past 2 seasons have told us anything, it's that OFG doesn't like beating Alpine in the regular season but sandbagging till the playoffs

So after Week 2 we can't have more than 4 undefeated teams left in the East. And that's if you count DDL.. Wow.

correct me if I'm wrong, but I think ***O*** used basic AI against Alpine last season

This isn't true.

We had AI problems for Alpine and Woodys last year though. Not to take anything away from their wins though.

It wasn't Alpine or Woodys.

We beat Dread City in a tournament game, then beat the Nats the next day. Somehow our AI button got unclicked and we used basic AI.

The next game was against Woodys. A new AI from a new team member was loaded, but someone forgot to check that the custom DC slots matched up.

As a result, we pounded the ball inside with our speedy back, using our speedy TE to block (or try to). I think he fumbled it three times. Our slow as molasses powerbacks and blocking TE got asked to go out and run pass routes and combined for a whopping 1 reception. And our blocking FBs even got in on the act, running short routes meant for Blazing and catching 4 passes for a combined 4 yards.

The Alpine loss was just a loss. Well...we didn't kick a FG with 2:36 remaining and down 1 from their 26.5 yard line and turned it over on downs instead. But not a major OOPS like the other three games.

Oh i know. I'm not going to pretend either of us had our A+ with no AI mistakes in our games going against each other in our respective losses (reg and playoffs). Despite you guys not kicking a FG and us finding a way of benching our starting QB the entire playoff game, we're 2-2 against each other. While we may meet again in the playoffs, i don't believe we'll meet in the 1st round based on final reg season standings. Will be a fun game to watch

Yeah you guys had the bigger oops, and it was playoffs to boot.

BTW, I forgot to add this to my OP, but here are (IMO) the Eastern Conference Week 1 Players of the Week!

Special Teams: Steve Christie (K, New Brunswick Scarlet Knights)

He was very good for New Brunswick, scoring 13 of the 19 New Brunswick points on the way to a 19-13 win over Dread City!

Also in consideration: K Matty Bigfoot (Washington Bullets) and K Jay Chew (New Jersey Battalion)


Defense: Seion Danders (CB, Indianapolis Gurupies)

He was a disruptive force for the Gurupies secondary, he had 3 Tkl, 1 TFL, 4 PD, and this Pick-6 that helped Indianapolis to get their 1st win vs Chicago

Despite the fact that they didnt deserve to win, Hal 9,000 deserve this honor this week, 199.5 rushing yds, 4.2 YPC and 3 TD to help his team to get a tie vs Carson City, here is some of his good plays:
