I've read all the wikis on slow building and I'm still not completely clear on what I'm supposed to do. Here he is:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1645577

Level 1, still have the 15 SPs you start with. I don't understand how far I'm supposed to train spd/agi before I put points into them or if I'm not supposed to use the points at all, or if I'm supposed to do just normal training for 1 first until it's soft-capped, and if so, I do speed first right? Also when they say soft-capped, I assume they mean the first soft-cap at 48 right?

I've tried to do my research but still am not clear so just making sure I do this the right way from the start. Btw, I'm interested in a pure shutdown corner, don't care about causing fumbles or ints even, I just want to focus on pass prot and deflections or better yet not getting thrown at at all.

Thanks for patience with the newb, guys.

(ps if anyone wants to help do the same with my LB that would be cool, want him to be a pass coverage WOLB: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1645583 )

you should intense train spd/agi until you get to the point where the SP's you have saved up can add in and equal the first cap in one attribute, and then do the same with the other. and so forth.

and yes.. 48.06 is the first cap.

This is one way to do it. Depending on when u want ur player to be effective, I would train spd/agi until u can get speed to at least the 68 cap with ur sp. That way u are getting more of a bonus to ur speed every level up earlier. then same with agi, however; by that time u should train something else i.e. vision, jumping, confidence, stamina, etc. IMO this will make ur player better in the long term, but in the short term it can be frustrating to wait.

Go to Youtube.com. Type in goal line blitz. Look at Nfrats video. That's about what this game is about. The wait. LOL.

OH COOL! I can look at my builds and see what I will raise at the next level. It's classic.

thanks for the help fellas. I've figured out pretty much exactly what I want to do by spending about 3 hours with the offline build simulator thingy. Really helpful. I've discovered that there is almost no difference in final skills points between intense and normal training, and also soft capping at each level or just going for the 3rd soft cap seem to make little difference.
