Please, do so.I don't have a lot of time, but I'll try my best.
I'll start with some links:

Maybe 80/60/3?
Perhaps 90/70/0?
Well he's my back, I would know.
Speed: 96
Agility: 80
Quick Cut: 10
Looking at these plays I was a little peeved at the fact that he wasn't running well, or at all really. So I started to do some research. Now, in the interest of full disclosure, I'll admit that my HBs Vision is at 31. So that's not great, but I think everyone can agree, or at least acknowledge that they've seen that Elusive HBs don't need too much vision. On those runs, his running style was set at 50(Elusive) as he has been all preseason, because that's what he was set on the last two seasons, when he got MVP, both times. I'm just trying to make this fair so don't flame me for bragging please, because I'm not.
Anyway, I found a few things.

3) Carrying - Helps with jukes and moves in general, also prevents fumbles. Most underrated attribute for elusive backs despite proof that it helps immensely (fwiw Tea Baggins is known to have high carrying)
-From Nuge, he's a pretty good HB builder.
Tea Baggins is an interesting build,
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=69633, now I can't say for sure anything about it, but from what I've learned about the rushing bar, 66 doesn't just come from Speed and Agility, he's obviously got some vision, probably 60 or so, but knowing he has high carrying makes a lot more sense, as that factors in not a lot, but a bit. I also know he took advantage of the overpowered Head Fake a few seasons ago, so he's obviously got high head fake, and to have high head fake before aeq, he would have to have at least 5 or so quick cut, he's obviously got Juke and Spin now, but I'm guessing his QC is at least 8.
My point from this being, high carrying obviously promises results.
Back to my player.
With 96 Speed, 80 Agility, and 10 in Quick Cut, how could he possibly be doing this crap:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=699242&pbp_id=498066Then I realized, carrying, currently, his carrying is at 32. Now I'm not saying it's the only thing that's wrong with him, but it's a big factor. I can't find the exact quote but cptafw163 is right:

bort did say that it was the single most important attribute for a HB.
I mean think about it,
Carrying, we're talking about HBs, who carry the ball for god sakes.
Now I could be totally wrong here, but from personal experience, against good teams, my back has played 4 this preseason, you can't run well without good carrying.
Let me reiterate, I don't think this shows against crappy teams, but when the team is better than yours, or evenly matched, I don't believe you can be effective as an elusive HB without good carrying.
It's true what some people say about the minor leagues,

Oh, in lower leagues it doesn't really matter what you do in general lolBut my theory is that when the current great Elusive backs that have ignored carrying make it to the higher, more competitive leagues with low carrying, they won't be effective.
My HB was great the last two seasons, even against good teams usually, he won Two MVPs. Now, he's struggling, and the only thing I can point to is carrying.
So that's my theory.
I'd love to hear some feedback
