You make a play in the creator. You set it up in the Defense A.I.

Then it says
-OR.

at the bottom it has custom slots.

If you build a play, put it in your Defensive A.I. can you set custom slots and save. It will follow?

Yes it will follow like HB1, TE2, etc dropdowns with a custom play.

I have a questions regarding:

Automatically Adjust In-Game Strategy to What's Working and away from What's Not Working?

What should this setting be? I am a first year D Coordinator and left this setting at 75% from the last coordinator. My inclination would be to set it really low so my game/strategy gets implemented throughout the game.

Anyone have a suggestion as to what works best?

One more question. What is a good rule of thumb for subs? I have ours set at 98/100.

Thanks in advance.

I'd go 0% if you like your Defensive A.I. also sub rate depends on what you are wanting out of your players.

You want to split time pretty even then 98/100 sounds good.

personally I use 99/1, and 80/1 for players I want to get more PT.

Ahh yeah, my reading comprehension on this topic needed some help. Only thing I change using the drop downs after creating a custom play is the coverage distance and play focus. 0_O

I've tried it and it didn't work. I only had that player in that in ROLB1 though and not on the ROLB depth chart so that might be why it didn't work though....I think you could also change it so that it is always that way for a formation which would work, but I don't know if that would be worth it.

yes, i used the NT1 slot. I had a DT that played DT in the 4-3 but NT in the 3-4 (or 3-1 really) when I used it by putting him in as the NT1.

I used only custom plays, so it definitely worked cuz he was the NT in those situations.

What's the difference between cover man & cover man without move(ment)?

Cover man w/o move means the defender will not line up over the offensive player he is covering until the ball is snapped.

the sub packages on the depth chart do work with custom plays. you should check your energy settings though as there are separate energy settings in the advanced settings tab.

99/1 is great but it only works when you have two people on the depth chart. The players basically sub every play.
