Coming from a team that started it's season a few levels behind, let me tell you that tactics are everything. If your play book is in order, you'll do fine I'm sure.

I don't think its so much the builds themselves...

I think the most important thing is finding out how to make all the different builds compliment each other. It's rare to find a BAD build in this game, but its EASY to find good builds that are being used incorrectly.
