My safety currently has 70 strength and 2 in Monster Hit. Starting the upcoming season 1 game away from leveling up, I am on the verge of having 20 SPs to hand out. If my goal was to force more fumbles, would you put the SPs in strength or Monster Hit?

Curious to see your responses.

Monster Hit. All other responses are wrong. Unless they also say Big Hit, which helps too.

seems true, but i've really based that on nothing other than the fact that big hit/monster hit are ridic SAs

Honestly, neither is the best choice to do what you're looking for. But of the two Monster hit is better.

Tackling may be another alternative to consider, but my LB has 8 in Big Hit, and 7 in Monster HIt , with 70 Strength, and 61 Tackling, and he forced one fumble last season in AA.

Any VA points in Power Tackler?
What Tacking tactic were you set at? Balanced or Power?

Wrong questions.

The question is: why did the guy only make 25 tackles all season (20 + 1 FFum + 4 sack) - and miss 11?

There you go...

(a crappy / wrong used guy won't get anything out of any SA. It take the "right", good build to make the SAs trigger in the way they are meant to work)

In your opinion, what is the best choice then?

15 in Power Tackler, on Power Tackling.

And I didn't get much PT, but still.

Very high tackling attribute. Growl is a better choice than Monster Hit because you aren't forced to pump up a redundant SA (Big Hit) in the process. You'll also have the benefit of getting it higher quicker and get use out of Diving Tackle and Wrap Up Tackle.
Playing on Normal tackling tactic and backed up with Intimidating & Power Tackler VAs you should come up with a higher number of FF while not missing many tackles. High SPD with Closing Speed seems to help (collision factor on open field tackles).

All of this I would assume is easier to come by for your level 21 SS. Don't know how much room to maneuver you have for a level 63 player as I expect he'd need Tackling to be over 80 at a minimum against similar competition.

Look at my SS's stats. I haven't been playing against all scrubs. And I don't have high growl. My tackling is around 65, my strength is around 60. Jacking up Big Hit and Monster Hit seemed to help the most.

The margin of victory in many of those games suggest you didn't face teams that were all that impressive for your level of competition. Not to say that his performance wasn't good last season or that Monster Hit isn't good either. I just don't think allocating points to MH (and by necessity, Big Hit) is as efficient.
Having your SAs concentrated on the first three can get you FFs while keeping those missed tackles number down. In either case, more Tackling itself is important. OP's safety will likely be up against very tough competition in his league and will need a lot more tackling than 60 to avoid missed tackles let alone forcing fumbles.

I just never found Growl to work that well. I'm all for Wrap-Up Tackle, but missed diving tackles don't seem to occur that much. Even just upping Big Hit would help since it adds to your chances on every tackle, not just Big Hits.
