Hey, i just had a comment or suggestion maybe, since the creation of this Elite Gold Pro league, making it the best of the best, some teams and players really aren't going to get credit for their season properly. I mean these teams are all league/conference Champs, so you could go 0-16 in this league and that equal 16-0/15-1 and a trophy in any other league, but after this season, when a player moves on and looks to get recruited, his stats might be skewed a little, like no sacks/ or hurries, no INT's, and might get passed up in recruiting for that, (just making an assumption here) and who really wants to go 0-16, and maybe lose every game by just a few points or so, so, here is my actual suggestion and this is where I am going with this thread:
Can there be like a "Badge" or trophy made up and given out to all the players that just "PLAY" in this league and displayed on their "Awards" page? Sure most of the players will be retired and remade after this season, but I mean there has to be some incentive for the "rest" of us, and there also has to be incentive for future teams/players to want to step in the ring with Short Bus, South Park, DoRD, HHM, and the many other OUTSTANDING teams in this premiere league, players should get some kind of recognition for just making it to the Pro League, and that should be a reward in itself, sure your team might go 2-14, but you'll be damn proud of those 2 wins, and be able to say "I played in the Gold League."
So that's just my .02 cents there, I am very proud to be playing in the Gold League, but i'm also being realistic here, I know we're one of the longshots, and am just looking out for my own OUTSTANDING agents!

Teams that are building winning teams for Gold won't be building players who are long-term sustainable builds.

Unless they are cap building, they won't be great builds in three or four seasons.

Teams that are recruiting you should be looking at builds to be honest, not awards or stats.

It doesn't happen too often but I agree with TT. Building a one year PeeWee player is much different than building a long term keeper, and I would imagine most of the teams in the Gold league are well versed in this with very few players carrying on after the season. I expect most will be recycled to form the next squad...say, 5-10 players on average go onto a career in the Minors.

I also agree with enasty in that the build is what most scouts/GM's will look at first, with stats being secondary. So while I do think that the awards for the Gold league should be different and more special than those in Silver and Copper, an award just for showing up is a bad idea.

would be nice to get a certificate of participation though!

Hell, we should've gotten badges for being in league 10. Fuck this stupid shit for Gold, league ten was gold, without SBWL or some other 16-0 teams.

I think there are some teams that were very unfortunate not to make the gold league, and some that were very fortunate ...some teams that didn't even win the final ...what about the conference losers that didn't make it to the final, coz they lost to the eventual final winners?!? ...at least most you guys got a conference championship trophy<.<
