After I boost him at the beginning of the season and he gets to L32 a few games in, his speed with equipment will be 80.
I've been slow building as a combo running back. Cheaper flex wise, and I like the way FBs stat level ups and SA trees are set-up better than HBs.
Slow built from the beginning, I got strength and agility to 68 and carrying to 60 asap. I've been training speed and saving SPs to spend on it since then. I intend to get him to 68 natural speed, and continue to put all equipment there as well.
I really want a team where he can get carries from the HB position. Carries from the FB position would be ok as well, though those tend to be poor plays and wouldn't take advantage of his build.
