Go ahead and weigh in.
I like Mr. Reliable for 3rd down situations and Clutch for the small bonuses it gives in every 3rd down situation.
What other combos are out there that are useful for WRs?
Is Big Heart still worth it or is it nerfed beyond usability?
What else?

Ball Hawk + Football Genius (+high vision, obv), don't need to explain the benefit
Underdog + Awe Inspiring, for constant -20% vision to enemies.
Prime Time Player + Red Zone Freak, for endzone reliability.
YAC Attack + Possession Receiver + Slippery + Quick feet (+high agility and spin), for YAC duh.

just some stuff off the top of my head

I see guys building strong WRs for the run game. If you have the right guys there you can make the WR possession guys with TE blocking skills.

Cap str and cap blocking and you have a beast with the right VAs. IMHO

If you have the strength and carry, Bruiser for sure! My WR just got Bruiser with his VA resets and the first game, against a solid opponent, my WR had 10 broken tackles.

IMO, you don't even need blocking. My WR has 55ish strength, but only 10 blocking. When you only have to block CB's, it does not take a whole lot to block them. Strength helps with YAC, and also with blocking.

I have been using Soft Hands+ Sure hands on my Speed WR thinking that I could save some skill points by not 3rd capping catching and that these two VA's would help offset that. However last season my WR had more drops than I thought he would with those two VA's and his 2nd capped catching so if anyone else was using the same theory as me and could post their results I would appreciate it because if the drops continue this season I will probably end up dropping at least one of those VA's.

Also with the addition of Nerves of Steel I think it is a VA that is a must have for those WR's that meet the requirements for it because Jackhammer can be a real bitch with the right build.

the problem with the sure hands is that it's a re-roll, not a modifier. if you're dropping lots of deep route balls, that probably won't change since your re-roll is still highly probable to be low.

It helps on the 'bad luck' drops, but sure hands is something that benefits most from high catching to begin with.

Imo sure hands benefits most by not being used.

I beg to differ

Sure hands does not help AT ALL in catching passes that are PDed or knocked loose.

Once you are a high level receiver with 2-capped or 3-capped catching, you are flat out dropping AT MOST 1-2 catches per season. Even if sure hands saves both those drops, it is not worth 15 VP's in the slightest.

I suppose it might have some minor utility for slow build players before they can cap catching, but once catching is at the softcap this VA is a complete waste of space.
