Imagine it's 3rd down and short. Which maxed out VA would you rather your power back have?

Slight bonus to every roll, including the chance of an SA firing. It's no mystery.

So then can we agree at least that Mr. First Down sucks? Would going for either Clutch and or Tenacious be better?

I don't think Mr. First Down sucks.

i'd rather just have bruiser, short yardage monster, and steady grip maxxed

Bruiser/Short Yardage Monster/Tenacious

Bruiser/Short Yardage Monster/Steady Grip or Track Star

I think Clutch is definitely worth considering as a power or elusive back, but not a speedster or combo back.

Heart of a champ is good to have some points in if you are constantly in the playoffs.
