FIVE THINGS TO WATCH
JACOB THE GREAT: The Shockers offense revolves around running back Jacob Orangeblood. The 10 year Pro is a big-play-making machine. This season, he totaled over 4,000 Total Yards and 99 Touchdowns. To truly appreciate him, though, you have to understand how how he plays the game. It's not always about the big play. When the Shockers need 3 yards he gets 4. He grinds it out all game until he inevitably breaks the long TD play. Coach Viking had nothing, but praise for Orangeblood. "Jacob is a true wild card and can be beat you by himself," CV said. "You've got to keep your eyes on him."
JIMMY JOHNSTON: Come rain, shine, snow or play call, Evil Monkeys defensive end Jimmy Johnston is going to cause hell for opposing quarterbacks. In the last meeting between the Shockers and Monkeys, Johnston totaled 10 tackles, 7 sacks, and 1 hurry. "Let's face it, the guy is super human. You cannot stop him. When he wants to get to the QB, he does just that.," cincredfan said. "We are going to try some draw plays and run to the opposite side of him to try to take him out of the game. We need to minimize his chances of making a play" quarterback John Young almost got his head taken off a few times by Johnston in their last meeting. "There's always a level of risk,"Young said. "What are you going to do though. We have to pass the ball."
PERFECTION: The Shockers are 1 win away from being perfect. "Undefeated in the regular season was awesome, but it will be all for not if we can't finish the job tomorrow." Rabid Hellion said. "20-0 would be amazing, to be put up their with some of the greatest dot ball teams of all time, wow I just couldn't describe it" The Shockers had only 1 close call this season, a 1 point win over OTR in the regular season. " The Red Dots caught us off guard early in the regular season. After we pulled out that victory we knew we could do something special this season." Tight End Corpulant Pig said "To be perfect, you need a little luck"
THE DEVIL ON THEIR SIDE: In order to win this game, the Evil Monkeys are going to have catch a few breaks. Some say you make your own luck. Coach CV thinks otherwise. "The Starting EVIL defense has an average level of 66.6, now that my friends is a sign from....Below" said CV. Who knows what kind of satanic shit or what the Monkeys had to do, but apparently they have the Devil on their side.
THE BOTTOM LINE: Let's face it, both teams are outstanding. Arguably #1 and #2 in all of the world. What happens when great meets great? Well, you usually get a spectacular game. This game is filled with superstars, great coaches, and is sure to be filled with drama. Both teams are sure to have plenty of surprises up their sleeves. In the final game of the season everyone pulls out all the stops. I for one can't wait for this game. Could be the greatest ever.
