So we send HHW, MEM, Cincy, and OTR to the mighty World League and they all make the playoffs....

So USAPL gets two teams that came from the "other" regions, right? What's the possibility that the demoted team(s) who were transplanted into USAPL for Season 12 could earn another demotion into USA AAA for Season 13?

I've heard some crying that USAPL teams shouldn't be allowed to move to other Pro regions so I got to thinking about the hypocritical whining that will cause the forums to explode when a shitty team ends up getting "screwed" into playing in USAPL after getting mauled in the World League.

"OMGOMG I can't believe Bort made us move to USA Pro. We want to play in Directional Antarctica Pro with all our old friends and rivals. This is such bullshit. We are going to totally quit."

World League won't even be world league. The league won't contain all the best teams in GLB for quite some time. IMO, USAPL will be tougher than WL for a few mroe seasons. No offense made to current teams moving to WL, they should dominate.

Eh ... I dunno about that. Certainly USAPL will have more teams that can really compete in the World League (as compared to the other Pro regions) but top to bottom, I personally believe the World League is going to be better. The good news is that the worst 16 teams invited to the Season 11 World League will get demoted and two of 'em are going to get the chance to play in USAPL for the first time.

By the start of Season 13 (barring guts), I'd be surprised if 7 (or 8) USAPL representatives weren't in the World League.

If Bort goes that route, there will likely be some pretty pissed off people. I know if Cincy got demoted, I'd be pissed about being shuffled off to anywhere but USA Pro. Of course, the one-for-one trade (former OPL team demotes, top OPL team promotes) may not be much better. One of the many things that still needs to be hashed out before a World League is ever implemented.

The demotion format will make the WPL a good thing or a bad thing imo, I'd like to see the non playoff teams removed each season so that fresh teams are pumped in.

Current theory is that teams demoted will go back to their own regions, based on old musing Bort has posted. This would most likely be accomplished by having extra demotions from that Pro league into AAA (or just hoping that the CPU/guts will be sufficient to cover it).
Thus teams will always be associated with their region.

Hopefully teams in the World League will get some sort of indicator on their team page to show what region they came from/demote too. Sure, it's easy to keep track of since it's just one league, but it'd be nice to have.

Listen to this and then tell me what you think...

It is called the World League. It is not called the Champions League. A World League consists of the best teams from each region of the world. It doesn't mean that the best teams in all of GLB will be playing in the League. It just means the best of each region. So I have no problem with each region getting 2 teams into the league. I don't know where people made the assumption that the World League has to be the Best teams in all of GLB. Quite honestly there could be some AAA teams that could compete for the best team in all of GLB. So for all of those that have been cussing the World League realize what a "World League" is.

Bolded part is what really scares me. Two more days left in this season and we have no idea how this is going to work. At least when the Minor League system was established, there was a little advance notice on it.

Yes I fear this will turn into a 2 week offseason while bort plays with himself and shoves remote controls up his ass instead of getting this right.

Let's call it a "Champions League" as you suggested earlier. Then there is no room for bitching and relegated teams will face new fresh opponents in simply "The Pro Leagues."

That would work out perfectly.

That's why my damn remote keeps getting lost. Now I'm really mad.
