At the moment my punter is set at bal on his slider but I want to take away a return guy in a game.

Would I adjust my slider all the way across to hang-time? and

Just how much does it take off my punt distance. He avg'd 43 per punt

My team played another that had returned over 20 punts for touchdowns through 6 games. I adjusted my slider all the way to hang time. They other team never gained more than 12 yards on a return. Since then, I left the slider at hang time and my punting average actually went up about 4 yards. This may be a result of have a lot of points in strength though.

I wish there was a way to always punt towards a sideline, even if not near the endzone.
