So you are suggesting that Bort gives a special subjective pass to those teams so that every other good team in other pro leagues get really pissed off and want to know why Bort is prejudiced against the non-USA teams and then demands to know what his criteria was for choosing them?

Teams with 2-3 losses a season are about to go to having 2-3 wins a season. Maybe they should check with WSI before they accept the "promotion"

yeah, I think they are doing it correctly. USAPL is the top league but the current promotion structure makes sense. Eventually this will all even out anyway

For the future I like the ideas that have been thrown around, I just think for the first season promoting more from the US would not only even out the World League but even out the Pro Leagues. If you take the top 8 out now it will lower the skill level in the USA Pro a LOT more then it would the other Pro Leagues, thus causing future promotions to actually come out more even.

WW are going to stay out of the discussion at this point since we would stand to gain if things are decided one way instead of another. Just like we often seem to be around this time on Day 36 or 38, we're just looking forward to setting things straight next season!

I can see it both ways, but you can't force certain teams in and dismiss other teams that met their leagues criteria... Perhaps there should be the option to accept or pass on an advancement to the World League this season, and leave it to the remaining world league owners to vote on the replacement teams... TBH, that would probably be the most fair choice.

I would go for this as I imagine there are a few teams that would reject due to them knowing they can't compete right away unless someone big brings in players.
