DT's seem pretty straight forward to me but I wanted to hear some suggestions for training.

Strength is first, I was going to train that on normal to start with. Should I take that to 3:1 or 4:1 before I move on?

Second question, once i reach that point, what should I train next? I was thinking agility and tackling together so I could start collecting bonus tokens.

What do you guys think? Is it better to start out training strength and tackling together in the beginning? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

So you're building a NT, right?

Yeah that is the plan

uh you should be intense training from the start. After STR is done... go AGI/TKL or SPD/AGI depending on the direction you want to go.

im training strength/tackling and then capping strength 5:1.

Are getting those early bonus tokens that important? Or is it just that it allows you to train two things at once? I am just wondering since I can get serious gains in strength every day if I train on normal.

Thanks for the help btw, I know this is some serious noob shit.

Its been shown time and time again that it is more efficient to train on intense from the start.

third cap strength, cap agility, fourth cap strength.

i dont see a problem with normal training strength if you plan to have strength as your highest attribute and dont plan on capping tackling any time soon(eg. if your cap order was str>agi>spd>vis). if you dont care about tackling, then the intense training is just slowing down how soon you can start capping strength. of course after that, the intense train options are much better

if you're picky at all about your AEQ, you're gonna need those shopping tokens at some point anyways

single training strength from the outset til about 30 and then switching to agility/tackling has some nice benefits. gives you a great chance to take advantage of flexibility and natural gains.

you are also losing out on a billion more by waiting to use your SP till str is 30.

I am confused, like what? I thought you wanted to save SP until you could cap...

or are you saying that I will be able to cap it before I train to 30?

yes to the second question. If you are a DT you could technically cap it by lvl 3/4... where you have maybe 25 to 30 sp's depending on which level you are... so you only need it to be what.. 19 to cap at lvl 4 or 24 to cap at lvl 3. Training to 30 will most likely not happen by then. My SSB guy didn't even get his attributes to 30 by intense training. So somehow I don't see a typical player normal training achieving that either.

if you create a DT on Day 41 and single train strength right off the bat it will be higher than 30 by level 3, and you can conceivably do it by level 2 with a good roll and a long off-season

The important thing when building your player is determining when you want him to dominate your league. Saving you SPs until you can 4:1 cap Strength and then starting on the next attribute is great for the 4-6th season of your player, but not as much fun in seasons 1-3.
