What is the key to success of Peewee teams? Running the ball! My defensive scheme will use many 3-4 principles in a 46-type setup. All 4 DLs will focus on Strength and Power rushing. The LBs and SS will be more strength and tackling oriented than many other teams to help force more fumbles and also rush the passer. The CB and FS will be built to shut down the long passing game, as even short passes are hard in Peewee, so we'll let the opponent have those.
I can easily put an hour into scouting for each opponent, more if needed. In addition, I will build and bring over a DE, DT, MLB, and SS for the team, built especially for the defensive plan. They won't boost or use custom, but they will only start if they are the best for the defense and will give up more playing time after the other players boost.
