1) Balanced TEs are pointless

2) If you are going to build one, focus on the major attributes first (strength, blocking, catching, vision). Worry about the rest after you get those 4 to where you want them.

Actually, I recommend taking agility and vision up quickly in the balanced build scenario as they are the attributes that really impact both roles.

Unfortunately, I also agree the balanced build is dead until Bort dumps the TE1/2 slots.

Build Guide for all-around TE:

Don't do it because it is pointless. Pick receiving or blocking and let the owner use the depth chart.

Yes, but remember that agility has horrible natural level gains, so capping it early is essentially pointless.

However, the only reason anyone would want a balanced TE is if they intended on spending their entire career in the casual leagues.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^

The auto level gains for minor attributes to Level 21 are around 3.5 while auto level gains for majors are 10. I'm planning on getting Catching, Vision and Strength (to combat KLs) capped early then add points into Speed and Agility as I see fit. I can put points in those attributes since all of my other receiving attributes are up to snuff. If everything works out perfectly I will only have to train Stamina, Jumping, Confidence and Carrying in a rotation after Season 3 or 4
