Can anyone post the advantages/disadvantages of the defensive coverages such as Cover 1 etc.

Cover 0
adv - have two extra safeties to either blitz or double team
dis - you better have great LB's and CB's because there is nobody to stop the big play
Cover 1
adv - can use extra safety to either blitz or double team
dis - deep sidelines are vulnerable
Cover 2
adv - two safeties to play deep halves and help the corners
dis - TE can get open down the middle of the field
Cover 3
adv - have 3 deep across usually will prevent big plays
dis - leaves more vulnerability against underneath routes
Cover 4
adv - prevents the big play as this is a prevent defense
dis - too many defenders deep leaves a lot open underneath
