his speed for a level 31 MLB is not poo, his agility could be a little higher. im thinking tackling is the biggest problem.

Well, the point I am trying to make is you can have 100 tackling and 100 str you won't force any fumbles with no speed or agility.

For a hard hitter you need like 90 speed 85ish agility. (most important part of the equation)

The str comes in for power tackling.

All tackling does is help you not miss on power tackling.

I don't have a lot of experience with this, but I'm guessing the FF roll incorporates TCK and STR... I know you can't hope to 3:1 both STR and TCK and have an LB that can actually move, but maybe getting TCK to the 2:1 cap natural would help.

Also, your Confidence is pretty low, could be affecting his abilities after the first quarter. Let us know how that build goes, interested to see how a non-AGI LB works out.

So many people under value the importance of tackling in the entire FF debate. I know of a MLB with 70 Str, 70 Spd, 62 Agi, 61 Vis, and 80 Tackling and never gets beat deep, racks up 100+ tackles each of the past 5 seasons, forces around 20 FF's a season (even when out leveled), and misses less than 10 tackles a season. Yes the build is an odd one, but he is a very reliable MLB and consistently stops inside runs.

The key to FF is the ability to use Balance (as a min) or Power Tackling, while having you missed tackles either less than or equal to your FF's. If you can achieve this balance without using Sure Tackler, fantastic.

With this stated, bring your tackling to 61 as starting point (after raising agility to 61). Also, I not referring to my LB, as he is built as an OLB. The MLB should focus on Agility, Strength, Tackling, Vision, and Speed. Look at the build of the average Power Back, your goal is to stop that.
