Hey everyone,

I just made my first TE and I was curious what I should cap first and what is most important in my TE. I would like to go primarily a receiving TE that is quick but also that can break tackles. All input would be great. Thanks.

For a receiving TE:

Put your equip in speed.

Cap

1. Catching
2. Vision
3. Strength
4. Blocking (You are building a TE not a WR)

then

5. Speed
6. Agility
7. Carrying

Definitely start by capping Catching first, from there is depend on if you are willing to sacrifice a couple seasons to have a better TE in the long run

receiving TEs don't need blocking... with custom slots you'll never be on run plays

its basically just using the caps. every level, you get a raise in your attributes. You get the biggest gains (.50) every level (until 23) for Catching, Vision, Strength and Blocking. So if you are going the Rec route, the take Catching and Vision to the cap first, or if your taking the blocking route, then take Strength and Blocking to the cap. After that you can start working on your Speed and Agility. The reason you want to wait on Speed and Agility is that you really don't get a big increase every level, its something minimal.

by going this route on my TE, I have already saved up 20 SP (4 levels) worth in the increments. Tell me you wouldn't like to have an additional 20 SP.

Its basically slow building, search for slowbuilding if you want to find more information
