I think going with a pyramid structure would have the same affect at making things more competitive. But I wouldn't be opposed to using both ideas-

A pyramid set up for pee wee and then reducing the number of leagues

This is the 3rd season now we have asked Bort to do something for peewees. Its nothing to Bort but a cash cow. He has no intentions to fix it. All he wants to do is milk it dry. By keeping 25 leagues and just replacing owners he gets people to spend more flex to fill thier teams so they are competitive. This ends up getting more owners to buy up tons of flex.

Bort wont change this. It would be to big of a hit to his bank fund.

But if you have less leagues that are more competitive, you would see more owners/agents spending flex on boosting a buying customer eq. If you're in a league that has 12 cpu teams why would you want to boost when you can win without doing so? Plus by using the pyramid system, the better, more experienced owners will be in the more competitive leagues. Plus the inexperienced owners will be matched up as well. It makes too much sense for everyone.

I was going to say that's a very cynical view ...until I went back and looked how many guys I made for my own peewee team this season!

Curiousity gets the better of me. How would promotion work for teams that won their respective leagues? Is this pyramid structure a one time deal? Considering pee wees are one and done season setup, would the setup for the pyramid be a one time deal or would the championship teams from the lower leagues have to wait until the "pro" teams retired their teams? Last question, who is going to be the ass to tell me I'm asking too many questions?

i would agree with putting experienced owners together the whole pyramid structure thing goes back to wat the above poster said peewee is one and done.

Either way there's too many empty/depleted teams and I support the idea to cutting down to less leagues to make the rosters stronger top to bottom. I am 110% in favor of a tiered league system that should be a #1 priority in the off-season and should have been a priority ahead of the 172 minor league divisions
