Ugh. Not that I'm saying we can't beat Bonn (or for that matter, that other teams in Alpha won't beat us), but I really don't wanna go through another promotion without hardware.

If Bonn doesn't get eliminated, throw the second round game Then you can win the league season 11

Clearly we have a history of winning the Gold... oh wait, what?

But you don't have to win Gold to get to the World League. Top 4 teams would make it, that means 1 Gold, 1 Silver and two conf championship losers would go.

That's the problem with the idea. A 9-7 team with some good postseason planning could be rewarded with 0-16 and likely gutting due to something like this.

Yeah, that was one of my questions/concerns. Is the top 4 based off of reg season or playoffs? Because if it's playoffs then the World League could have a couple teams get there that really don't have business being there or much of a shot and it would ultimately lead to disbanding.

I think Bonn had just the right amount of league acceleration to keep everyone happy, we sort of slow brewed, always did very well, always improved but yet never got the carrot. I've seen a lot of teams promote too fast and then they either face the heart wrenching decision of breaking up their team to compete or languish for a couple of seasons until their builds catch up (see Hattgenstein).

Hey, this is BFMs plan

But if we did get into world league, we would plan for the regular season obviously!

It just seems stupid. WOC has made this great WEPL vs. World thread here on our forums, and we all cheer on our fellow WEPLers when they win interleague games. We think we're an underrated league, and we're out to prove that we're better than people think. Other leagues have something similar going on, and they're thinking the same things. There are rankings, tournaments, league cups, etc. This kind of stuff matters now, and it makes the game more fun. How much of it would still be around if there were a World League?

Team Perkis was in the same situation really. We moved up fast, and probably promoted too fast from WE AAA #2. We earned it though, wining the Alpha Championship but we were only the 4 seed coming in to the playoffs. We were a bit overwhelmed in our first couple of seasons, but we are catching up now.
