Figured i'd do this per 4 games since it only takes like 3 mintues and there isn't enough usa (b)east attention. Also, it's 1am and i'm a few margaritas in (don't judge, there's a lot leftover from the 4th bbq!)
Top dogs
1- Shockers- I don't think anyone would argue with this. 2 really strong wins against Slashers/Blazers and are mowing down the other teams in the league too. OTR gave them a big scare but Cincy found a way to get the job done like great teams do. Schedule doesn't get any easier but have the potential to go undefeated.
2- Gurupies- No longer flying under the radar. Dominating in scrims (though i'm not considering those) too and finally getting the attention they deserve. Still have some tough games ahead of them though (alpine, otr, ofg, cincy)
3- OFG- Losing in a shocker to the new and improved Woodys. Despite Duff/Hulk not having their settings how they like them, they didn't get the job done and there's no shame in losing to a good woodys team. I don't see this as a trend though. They'll rebound.
Battling for home field (could all be intertwined and all play each other in the next few weeks)
4- Blaze- Best move up so far. Furious Monotoney is tearing it up, good rushing QB, and solid passing game. Not many weaknesses. 3 of their next 4 games are against teams they're battling with for a home playoff spot so they are gonna be busy.
5- OTR- Lost a heartbreaker to Cincy but are looking good this year. Good win against Alpine and Hounds (who are both playing better). Have some hard games left but these 4 through 7 spots are really had to rank at the moment. They seem back to season 8 form though.
6- Slashers- Win against WSI slightly less impressive given their play this season but blowing out the Golfers and Bullets is good work. Next 2 games against the 2 teams ranked ahead will be important. AAA2east all up in this
Trying to claim that last 2-3 spots
7- Alpine- Started out 0-4 but looking back at the schedule it's slightly more excusable since the slashers/blaze are much better than most thought. Winning 4 straight definitely has us back on track but we'll have to get lucky to back into the playoffs this season. Gurupies could easily bring them back down to earth week 9. Only here because of momentum and i'm a little biased
8- NAN- No real quality win at the moment but 5-3 is nothing to scoff at. Their 3 losses are to 3 good teams so you can't fault them for beating who is in front of them. They certainly seem improved from last season and look to be a staple of the usapl east playoff chase. Home field is possible but not likely.
9- Bullets- Nice wins against OTR and Woodys. Still looking for that season 7 magic but they'll definitely be in the hunt for the last 2-3 playoff spots. Their defense is still very very stout
10- Woodys- Great win against OFG, AI blunder or not. The woodys are much much improved over last season and had the lead over alpine until the final minutes. At 10 because they lost to the 3 teams right above them.
No shot at playoffs but are safe for this season. Also, why are the non-playoff chance teams in the east so much more boring than the bad west teams?
11- Porcelain Mice- No real quality wins but played a tougher schedule i guess. AAA1 east not looking so strong at the moment.
12- Royals- Struggling. Not much to say. Playoffs prob aren't gonna happen.
Who will join the Steel in AAA?
13- Hammer- Better than their record shows but nothing to show at the moment.
14- DDL- At least they have 1 real win. TSE is pretty funny when he's useless. Was he that sensitive when his team was relevant back when he didn't suck at dotball?
15- Buckeyes- They've reached their max wins for the season. Garbage
ugh.....
16- steel- more GMs than players. can't be a good thing
