I recently rolled this and was wondering if this AEQ would be good for my DE in the future.

+2 Agility, +1 Superior Vision.

SA is pretty worthless for a DE. Sorry.

i wouldnt be so quick to dismiss it. not sure is the honest answer. i am intrigued as to what some of the DE gurus make of it.

I have out of position SV on 2 players. I think it is reasonably valuable, but the issue is that you won't ever get it above 5. You have to believe in it to actually use it because while it is an SA that you normally can't get, you are also going to have to spend more points in Shed Block than a guy who gets that AEQ.

The +2 agility is a good modifier however. The 2 pieces I have are a DLineman who got +3 agility, +1 SV and a LB who got +1 SV, +2% break block chance.

Vision helps DE's but there's no way that this guy has a DE with vision in the high 60's to even make this a viable item. It would be a complete waste as he probably at best has vision 1 capped.

And honestly, at lvl 19, you shouldn't even be touching vision.

personally I don't think your vision needs to be quite that high to see a difference with the SV AEQ. I believe in it though. I don't believe in JTS and I don't think that VA does anything other than cause your player to jump offsides and some people think JTS is the key to their build it seems like.

If you are going to go with SV, then go for it. I would try to support it with the vision attribute though and if you don't plan on doing that I'd pass.

Yeah it's like they add vision and JTS at the same time, and think JTS is doing something for them.

Interestingly enough, I rerolled for some new equipment and got this.

Is that worth a longer look than the original piece?

That is potentially very good, especially if you are going to put a good number of points into shed block.

much better.

61+ vision and 5 in SV is actually pretty effective at avoiding fakes (ie magical juke rays) that LBs have trouble with. SV provides a fairly significant avoid fake bonus even at relatively low levels.
