I was thinking of experimenting with a build, and was looking for opinions. I've got a low level LOLB, who's primary thing will be pass coverage. I just started to build, and I was thinking of doing the following progression:

*all equipment in speed and agility.

*speed to 2nd cap.
*agility to 2nd cap.
*vision to first cap.
*jumping to first cap.
*speed to 3rd cap.
*agility to 3rd cap.
*vision to 2nd cap.
*jumping to 2nd cap.
*tackling to 1st cap.
*strength to 1st cap.

I realize this build waits real long to focus on strength and tackling, and goes heavier than normal in jumping. But for a pass coverage guy, would it work??

I don't think it's that well thought out. 2nd cap is not an efficient place to stop. Either first cap or third cap imo, unless you are staying at second cap. I don't think jumping at the second cap will make you a better LBer than tackling capped will. My LB never had jumping capped until level 60, and never had any problems in coverage. OTOH if you leave your tackling low for that long, you will be a sever liability against ballcarriers.

Thanks for the input. I guess what I was asking more specifically was, is tackling and strength less important, and jumping more important, for a coverage based lolb?? Kind of similar to how a CB would build?

strength and tackling are more important just for the fact that you are not always going to just cover the pass. your LB will encounter FB and HB and they will just flat out run you over if you go in that route. jumping works dont count it out but I would train it until you have stregnth and tackling up at least till tackling is 1st capped

Plus having strength allows you the Jack hammer VA which is one of the best in the sim at any position, much less LOLB.
