I have heard mixed answers on this whether to increase my strength or carrying, if anyone knows this answer please help?

I have yet to see proof or a link on this, but would appreciate any help. His Catching is 62 and his confidence is 52, all the balls I drop seem to occur when "ball is knocked loose" fires. Any answers?

I know that

The question is, if I had to choose between Carry and Strength to prevent getting the ball knocked loose, which one would I pick?

I think the game is designed so this can't be completely prevented. If RBs with very high Strength, Carrying, Cover Up SA, etc. are still getting forced fumbles, the code must make it very probable at least once per game. I'm guessing the same would hold true for WRs and balls getting knocked loose. Gotta give LBs and DBs something other than mostly tackles and PDs to get jazzed about in the downfield, right?

This is all guessing based on my experience with GLB, and I don't make any claims for correctness here.

For me it depends on the level of his Strength and his Carrying, but I lean more toward Carrying. Something in roughly a 1:2 ratio at the earlier stages of a build, so if his Strength were 20 and his Carrying were 30, I'd go for upping his Carrying to at least 40. (Of course, I'd opt to 1st soft cap Carrying and keep training Strength in this instance.) If his Strength is less than 20, I'd think about getting it to at least 20 (via training).

The avg Strength, the avg Tackling, and the avg level of ball stripping VAs of the defenders a WR is up against has to be taken into account. If a WR is in a conference with high Strength defenders, he's going to need more Strength on avg; same goes for their Tackling vs. his Carrying, their ball stripping VAs vs. his ball retention VAs.

One other thing for why I'd go for Carrying over Strength in most situations is that Carrying helps the WR catch. I've seen so many RBs with low Catching and good Carrying catch balls. Given, many aren't being well covered, but when they've got Catching < 18 and they're still catching balls with good frequency on Fly routes, something's up.
