I disagree, I get sacks on 3rd downs without PR. Heavyweight is the best followed by track star\Quick.

Yes but with pass rusher you'd be that much more effective on 3rd and 4th downs, atleast theoretically no?

I didn't think people where still investing in the attribute VAs. I have 15 heavyweight on my NT but I have no idea where to spend the rest. Thinking about PR, PT or quick.

I find heavyweight to be slightly overrated. It's great for some players, completely unnecessary for others.

3.5 points seem small just looking at them, but if you dont have a VA that is a must have, 3.5 points is the equivalent of a free equipment upgrade, and if you get track star and quick, that is TWO equipment upgrades for free in major areas that a D-lineman can succeed in. Those points work 100% of the plays your lineman is in.

With track star and quick on level 45 DE.
106.5 speed
84.5 agility

without track star and quick on level 45 DE
103 speed
81 agility

The reason people scoff at 3.5 points is because they used to be worth 7 points until the nerfing...well, 3.5 points is still better than zero and in my mind worth getting.

I kind of like the idea of Helmet Crash on a DE. Because DE's are raising their STR and starting to stop a ton of screen passes it could help cause a lot of chaos moving forward. Who knows though, I don't have a DE so I can't preach to anything working.

I agree, especially with SPD where your options of finding any sort of boost are limited to Blitz/TV AEQ.

ive been thinking about the attribute VA's and weather they are worth it or not. for the example used im assumign those numbers are with equipment or else they are wrong. id agree that its worth it but only if attributes are really that high. my lvl 31 NT has 80.16 natural strength which would yeild a 3.6 bonus at 15 but i cant get 15 and dotn have 15 VA's so its useless. i think the only ones worth doing are the ones that are .5% bonuses which bort ones that people dont generally take as high as other attrbutes. the two i feel ppl might have highest are catching and vision and i dotn think any dlineman would want to make thsoe higher when VA's can be spent in other ways

yes, that is with equipment.

Another way of looking at spending VA's for equipment upgrades is that if I was to buy 3.5 physical attribute points in speed at my current level considering I have 74 natural points, they would cost me 17.5 SP's (5 SP per attribute point at 74 natural), or more than boosting 3 times.

thats not the best way of looking at it IMO. u need to look at the opportunity cost. is 3.6 really worth giving up say 305 to knocking down the opponent? some may argue yes and others no. and there are alot of factors that go into it so i think its jsut a matter of opinion.

Randy had a monster game vs Russian Revolution...and that is a very good O-line.

Granted, their QB is only slightly less mobile than an aging Dan Fouts....
