I'm trying to take advantage of huge holes in these defenses, but can't get my QBs to throw to the open HB out of the backfield.

The main offending play in this game was out of Pro Set: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=588500&pbp_id=2680100

The most consistent play is the singleback flanker drag: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=588500&pbp_id=2674929

Is the only way to do this to change QB individual tactics to OFTEN dump passes and passing priority heavily to the open man?

I'd rather my QBs not have that tactic set for the whole game though, wish we could set primary receivers on passing plays.

Scouting us Poop?

Edit: I don't think it will matter against you guys

This has been happening forever with the singleback flanker drag, very rarely does our QB throw over there. I just hate it when defenses get a free pass with that play.

No, actually I was saying interesting because I sort of kind of remember that there was an adjustment made a while back to make the HB a more viable passing option, specifically on FL drag...

There was on FL drag. I remember that from the changelog. And the QB HAS passed to him before, it just happens like 10% of the time.

You can target the HB as the "Primary Receiver" in the AI.

And maybe set the QB's tactics more to "open" rather then distance.

How about making them NOT throw to covered RBs 1-2 yards behind the line. Especially on 3rd & long. ARG.

Unfortunately that's for every play and not just for the one I want. I wish there was something more play specific but I may try the 2nd suggestion.

its all about the QB slider. I am almost wondering if our QB throws to our HB's too much.

That looks like the WR is the primary.
The two DE's are on him so the QB doesn't have time to check down.

Yeah, try go with more open and let us know how that works...

Yes, that's the Flanker Drag WR Short play.

I'm still learning but in the Advanced Offensive AI you can setup a pass play that has the "Primary Receiver" set to whatever position you want to look at first. After that I think it's a vision thing on your QB.

You've got it backwards. You set a primary to decide which play is run, not decide which play, then set a primary receiver.

If you set pass, single back, short, HB, you're going to get the HB Screen, not Flanker Drag. To get the HB the ball in FD, you either need to make him a favorite target, set your dump pass to often, set priority more towards open man, or, the best option imo, make your RB a better receiver.
