You're in the D-Leagues, and no one cares about anything in the D-Leagues.

That said, the D-Leagues are perfect for new players like yours.

Defensive Tactics:
Play on Hard
Pass Focus

Cushion? Most guys are going 0-3 yards (0-2 really), but I don't know what to recommend for D-Leagues.

Build-wise, I'd focus on getting speed to 68, agility to 68, and vision to 68 before doing anything else.

Agreed, but I would play on normal or maybe even relaxed so you can get as many plays as you can.

No. You want to play on Hard. As weird as it sounds, you get more XP for Hard than for Relaxed or Normal, even if you play fewer plays that way.

Ask your team's defensive coordinator or team owner what they'd like you to play on as far as the distance slider. They might already have guidelines for that in the team forum. The other advice should stay the same.

Interesting... I built three players at about the same time, played on same intensity, and the player with the highest XP after getting out of the D-Leagues was a CB that I created last among the three. Only difference was the number of plays.

Strange. I've done a study myself with 3 players that I kept a couple of seasons. I played them each on different intensities. It varied game by game, but on average, the guy who played on Hard got more XP--even if he played fewer snaps.

I did my study as a result of another study that someone did. That person concluded the same thing, and I had thought it was fishy.

There's something on GLBwiki about the same thing. I think if you search for XP, it comes up.

I looked at that article - the most recent study was in season 7. Mine went through in season 8. If I remember correctly, that was the season the xp penalty for playing on relaxed was taken away. I remember my players started the season on relaxed then went to normal and I didn't see outliers in their xp. It does seem strange that playing on Hard can yield more XP with fewer snaps. I cannot speak to that from my experience. They never played on Hard that first season.
